Drake – Knife Talk ft. 21 Savage, Project Pat
Drake’s Certified Lover Boy closes with a standout track that blends raw energy with sharp storytelling. "Knife Talk," featuring 21 Savage and Project Pat, is a tense, dialogue-driven cut that feels like a late-night conversation gone wrong. The track, produced by Metro Boomin and Peter Lee Johnson, leans into its gritty, cinematic vibe, with 21 Savage’s signature flow and Project Pat’s smooth delivery adding layers of intensity. The production keeps the focus tight, letting the lyrics—full of warning signs and dark humor—drive the narrative forward.
Drake’s presence on the track is subtle but impactful, grounding the conversation in a familiar voice while letting the featured artists take center stage. The chemistry between 21 Savage and Project Pat shines, their exchanges creating a sense of unease that lingers long after the last bar. It’s a standout moment on an album that balances introspection with high-energy moments, proving Drake’s ability to craft compelling storytelling even in his later work.
"Knife Talk" is a testament to the power of a well-executed feature, where each artist’s contribution feels essential. The track’s release in 2021 solidified its place as one of the album’s most memorable cuts, offering a mix of tension and authenticity that keeps listeners engaged. Whether you’re a fan of Drake’s lyrical depth or the dynamic between the featured artists, this is a cut worth revisiting.
