Drake – Fountains ft. Tems
Drake’s "Fountains," the 16th track from his 2021 album Certified Lover Boy, delivers a sultry, introspective groove that blends soulful production with Tems’ effortless vocals. The collaboration between the Toronto rapper and the Nigerian superstar adds a fresh, melodic contrast to Drake’s signature flow, making this a standout cut from the album. The track’s smooth, rhythmic vibe is shaped by the expert hands of producers TRESOR, Monsune, and Noah "40" Shebib, who craft a lush, atmospheric backdrop that enhances Tems’ emotive delivery.
From the opening bars, "Fountains" pulls listeners into a dreamy yet reflective mood, where Drake’s lyrics weave seamlessly with Tems’ soaring harmonies. The production balances deep basslines with airy synths, creating a sound that feels both intimate and expansive. This track showcases how Drake and Tems complement each other perfectly, blending their distinct styles into a cohesive, mood-driven experience.
Though "Fountains" may not be the album’s most talked-about moment, its understated charm makes it a memorable listen. Fans of Drake’s more melodic work and Tems’ vocal prowess will appreciate how the two artists merge to craft something both elegant and deeply personal. A quiet gem from Certified Lover Boy, it’s the kind of track that lingers long after the last note fades.
