Burna Boy – As e Be (Skit)
Burna Boy’s "As e Be" isn’t just another track—it’s a playful, high-energy skit that cuts through the vibe of his 2015 album On A Spaceship. Positioned as track eight on the project, this moment stands out as a raw, unfiltered slice of Afrobeats culture, where the artist’s signature wit and charisma shine. Unlike the album’s more polished cuts, "As e Be" feels like a spontaneous burst of energy, capturing the essence of street-smart creativity that defines Burna Boy’s sound.
The skit’s title itself is a linguistic gem, blending Yoruba and English in a way that’s both clever and conversational. It’s the kind of track that makes you smile, with Burna Boy’s voice bouncing off the rhythm like a quick exchange between friends. The energy here is infectious, making it a standout moment for fans who love the artist’s ability to blend humor with musical talent. While it may not carry the same weight as some of the album’s more melodic tracks, its raw appeal keeps it memorable.
"On A Spaceship" is a project that balances ambition with authenticity, and "As e Be" is a perfect example of that balance. Burna Boy’s knack for storytelling and his ability to make listeners laugh or grin are on full display here. Though it might not be the most complex piece on the album, its spontaneity and charm make it a fan favorite. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to his work, this skit offers a fun, unscripted glimpse into the artist’s playful side.
For those diving into On A Spaceship, "As e Be" serves as a refreshing interlude—proof that even in a polished album, there’s room for the unexpected. It’s the kind of track that lingers not just for its music but for the personality it carries, making it a standout piece in Burna Boy’s ever-growing discography.
