Drake – Champagne Poetry
Drake’s "Champagne Poetry" opens Certified Lover Boy like a bold declaration, setting the tone for the album’s lush, self-reflective journey. Produced by Noah "40" Shebib, Masego, Maneesh & Oliver El-Khatib, and J.L.L., the track blends sultry beats with Drake’s signature introspection, painting a picture of luxury and vulnerability. The first track on the album, it was released in 2021 as part of a project that would later solidify its place in Drake’s discography.
The song’s production shines with a mix of smooth synths and rhythmic precision, giving it a cinematic feel that complements Drake’s lyrics. Maneesh and Oliver El-Khatib’s work adds depth to the arrangement, while Noah "40" Shebib’s signature touch keeps the energy grounded. Masego’s contributions further refine the track’s melodic flow, creating a sound that’s both inviting and introspective.
"Champagne Poetry" captures Drake at his most polished, where the allure of success meets moments of raw honesty. The track’s blend of production talent and lyrical finesse makes it a standout opener for Certified Lover Boy, offering listeners a taste of the album’s sophisticated storytelling.
