Drake – Doing It Wrong
Drake’s Take Care (Deluxe) is a sprawling collection of introspection and urban storytelling, and "Doing It Wrong" stands out as one of its most unfiltered tracks. Recorded in 2011 as the 13th track on the expanded edition, the song cuts straight to the bone with its raw, unpolished energy. Without a credited producer, the track leans into its organic feel, blending Drake’s signature lyrical flow with a gritty, bass-heavy production that feels both intimate and expansive.
At its core, "Doing It Wrong" is a moment of vulnerability, where Drake confronts his own flaws with unapologetic honesty. The song’s stripped-down approach—stripped of the usual polish—makes the emotional weight land harder. Whether it’s the candid admission of self-sabotage or the raw admission of being "doing it wrong" in life and love, the track resonates as a confessional, stripped of pretension.
While Take Care (Deluxe) is often remembered for its polished moments, "Doing It Wrong" carves its own space as a defiant, unfiltered snapshot of Drake’s ability to turn imperfection into power. It’s a track that doesn’t just fit into the album—it defines a side of Drake that’s as real as it is relentless.
