Gunna – whatsapp (wassam)
Gunna’s latest single "whatsapp (wassam)" from his debut album One of Wun delivers a fresh, unfiltered snapshot of modern trap culture. Produced by the dynamic duo Turbo and EvrGrn, the track showcases Gunna’s signature swagger while weaving in crisp, high-energy beats that define the album’s sound. Dropped in 2024 as the fourth track on One of Wun, "whatsapp (wassam)" captures the raw, unpolished essence of the project, blending sharp lyricism with a production style that keeps the momentum tight.
The song’s title itself hints at a playful yet unapologetic attitude, mirroring Gunna’s no-nonsense approach to his craft. With Turbo and EvrGrn at the helm, the track balances punchy basslines with melodic hooks, creating a sound that’s both grounded and infectious. Fans of Gunna’s earlier work will recognize his signature flow, but the production here adds a layer of sophistication, making it a standout cut from the album.
"whatsapp (wassam)" isn’t just another track—it’s a testament to Gunna’s ability to stay relevant while pushing boundaries. As part of One of Wun, it solidifies his place in the current trap landscape, proving that his voice still carries weight in an ever-evolving genre. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to his music, this single is a must-listen for its authenticity and the undeniable energy behind it.
