JO1 – ANIMAL (EP)
JO1’s latest project, ANIMAL, arrives in 2026 as a bold, genre-defying collection that blends raw energy with unexpected collaborations. The six-track album showcases the artist’s versatility, weaving together infectious hooks and layered production that feel both fresh and familiar. From the opening track to the final cut, ANIMAL delivers a cohesive sound that pushes boundaries without losing its signature charm.
The album kicks off with the title track, ANIMAL, a high-octane anthem that sets the tone for what’s to come. Collaborations like WHATCHA DOIN, featuring Dem Jointz and THE B7ANK, introduce a playful yet hypnotic rhythm, while SAKURA—paired with Mayu Wakisaka and THE B7ANK—adds a touch of global flair with its dreamy yet driving energy. Each track builds on the last, creating a dynamic listening experience that keeps momentum high.
THIS DAT FYAH stands out as a standout, assembling a star-studded lineup including Alexis Boyd, Carmen Reece, and more to craft a track that’s equal parts bold and infectious. DOWN and STATUS further solidify the album’s strength, with Dem Jointz and THE B7ANK lending their signature styles to create grooves that are both polished and unapologetically fun. The production shines throughout, ensuring every collaboration feels intentional and exciting.
ANIMAL isn’t just an album—it’s an evolution. JO1’s ability to blend personal energy with collaborative fire makes this release a must-listen for fans and newcomers alike. With its mix of anthemic hooks and unexpected twists, ANIMAL proves that creativity knows no limits.
