Selena Gomez – Round & Round ft. The Scene
Selena Gomez’s debut single "Round & Round" from her 2010 album A Year Without Rain kicks off the project with a bold, anthemic energy that defined her early sound. Produced by the dynamic trio of Kevin Rudolf, Jeff Halatrax, and Andrew Bolooki, the track blends catchy pop hooks with a driving rhythm, setting the stage for Gomez’s confident vocal performance. The collaboration with The Scene adds an extra layer of swagger, their sharp ad-libs and rhythmic flow complementing Gomez’s smooth delivery.
Opening as the album’s lead single, "Round & Round" showcases Gomez’s ability to balance vulnerability with strength, a theme that would become a hallmark of her music. The track’s infectious chorus and punchy production make it an instant standout, proving that her debut was anything but subtle. While the song doesn’t shy away from self-assured lyrics, the overall vibe remains upbeat and engaging, making it a standout moment in her early career.
